Every customer hides a number. You get one guess that counts.

You sit behind the counter. They sit across it. Each face has a hidden **Limit** — the most they will ever pay. You see a band, a hand of tactic cards, and how they hold themselves. Spend your nerve reading them, or spend it making them want the thing. You cannot afford both.

CLOSE at or under the Limit and it sells, at the ask. One coin over and they walk. There is no dice roll after you stamp. Land exactly on the pin and the margin pays sixfold.

Eight days. Three blocks a day. Hit the profit quota or the guild shutters you. Between blocks you take the market. On days 3, 6, and 8 a guild caller sits alone and breaks a rule. Day 5, Lady Vene is a guest, not a squeeze.

This is a **0.8.0 beta**. The booth is playable: a full 8-day run, seeded replay, the daily writ, mute, reduce motion. It is not a 1.0. Windows only.

## The table

- **Nerve** is yours. Cards cost it.

- **Patience** is theirs. At zero they force a close at whatever the ask is.

- **READ** cards narrow the band. They also make the Limit a little worse.

- **DESIRE** cards raise what they will pay.

- **ASK** cards move your price. The stick ticks one coin around it.

- **PIN** is exact. **SLOPPY** still sells. **WALKS** they leave.

The question of every table: how much more can you extract before you lose the sale?

## Controls

- Click cards. Drag the stick. **CLOSE** (Space) or **WAVE** (W).

- Esc — pause, then QUIT

- M — mute

- R — reduce motion

- F11 — windowed / borderless

- Type a seed on the title (or paste, or click last seed) to replay a ledger

First boot is borderless. Esc, then QUIT.

Saves to `%APPDATA%\Blackledger\save.json`.

Windows may say "Windows protected your PC" (unsigned exe). More info → Run anyway.
